Austin Shared Data Center
In the fall of 2016, The University of Texas at Austin Data Centers team joined the University of Texas System Shared Data Centers Program, opening our space and services to all UT System Academic and Health Institutions. This venture benefits UT System Institutions by providing data center co-location space in a geographically central location that's suitable for both production and disaster recovery systems.
Professional, 24/7 technical support and management of every facet of the ASDC ensure institutions can focus on their core mission while we focus on their IT hardware. Network connectivity is provided through the Office of Telecommunication Services (OTS) with onsite access to the UT System 200Gb Wide Area Network Backbone.
Co-location rates have been approved by the UT Austin and UT System Controller's Offices. Departments are not charged for the building, cooling, power or monitoring software and services.
Space is available now with a long-term plan to continue expanding capacity.
